BPS-Statistics of Asmat Regency Held Sakernas August 2017 Training

Enumerator training activities National Labor Force Survey (SAKERNAS) Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) of Asmat Regency has been done. This activity aims to enumerator candidate have the same concept understanding in enumerating in the field. SAKERNAS is one of the BPS main surveys aimed to capture the phenomenon of employment in Indonesia. Later this survey can generate employment indicators of Indonesia's population.

Fifteen field staff consisting of four Field Supervisors (PML) and eleven Field Enumerators (PCL) attended the training. The officers are from BPS employees, the District Statistics Coordinator (KSK), and BPS Partners. There was something different at this training. Because among of the fifteen officers, three of them are representatives from the Communications, Information, Statistics and Encryption Department of Asmat Regency. Participation of local statistic officers are expected to improve coordination between BPS employees as vertical statistical agencies with the Office of Regional Statistics, especially in the Asmat Regency.

Before 08.00 the officers had gathered in the hall of the Ndar Sesepok Credit Union building. The training was opened on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 08.00 by Mr. Sugiyanto, S.ST, M.Si as Head of BPS of Asmat Regency. The atmosphere of the room began to melt during the introductory session of each officer. The activity was continued with learning the material of SAKERNAS. The training is held for three days from July 19 to July 21, 2017. The training were closed on Friday at 16.00. In the closing session, the Head of BPS of Asmat Regency advised on the importance of conceptuality in a survey. To be able to compare the results of a survey with another survey then both must use the same concept. SAKERNAS adopts internationally agreed labor rules. So the indicator produced by SAKERNAS can be compared internationally. At the end of the closing ceremony, there was a small discussion of the staff of the Statistics Office who said "to make the survey questionnaire not as easy as imagined, should first learn the concept of what to look for from the questionnaire".
